Just dealt with one of those Indian 'tech support' scams. I called them back using a different number I found shared in a scambaiting forum. They started with the typical routine, asking for my name and number, then promptly hung up to ring me back on the number I gave - which was a dummy one I use for stuff like this. Honestly, never hand over your actual details to these jokers.

Just had a right awful run-in with some lot claiming to be HP ink tech support. They managed to get control of my computer and tried to trick me into handing over cash. Got a bit suspicious and mentioned I’d call the police, then they abruptly hung up. I searched them online and yep, they answered as HP tech support. After they left, I noticed they had copies of my driving licence and passport. My next move’s definitely going to be ringing Action Fraud first thing tomorrow.

Got a call from someone claiming they were from McAfee. They said they needed to fix my computer, so I let them connect remotely. Turns out, they lifted my credit card info and attempted to make some purchases. Luckily, my bank caught the fraud just in time.

They claimed to be from HP Ink and almost tricked me. Watch out, these scammers are no joke. Stay alert, folks!

Total scam! Someone called saying they were from HP Instant Ink, claiming they needed my debit card info to “extend my subscription for three months of free ink”. Then they wanted me to send a scanned copy of my passport to verify my identity, and also got me to install an app so they could access my phone. That’s when I figured out it was dodgy and immediately ended the call. I then rang my bank straight away to block my debit card.

Got a call from someone claiming to be with HP Ink. They wanted me to pay something and then somehow got into my computer from far away. I’m worried they might have taken some data or something from my PC. Feels dodgy, honestly.
