Over the past few days, I’ve been getting calls claiming to be from Visa. I usually just let them ring out to voicemail for the first few times, like I always do. But when the same number showed up again for the third time, I finally picked up, mainly because I was curious. They also mentioned something about a payment of £600 being blocked on my account. I didn’t press 1 as they asked, though. What puzzles me is how their automated system seems to tell the difference between someone answering and it going to voicemail.
