Got a ring just now from someone claiming to be from the “financial claims office” about PPI. I asked where they were located, and they said Manchester, which seemed odd since the number showed Ashford, Surrey. The bloke spoke with a proper Manchester accent, so seemed genuine enough. When I told him I’m on the TPS, he went on about how they check the numbers every morning and that I need to update my TPS details every six months - absolute nonsense. You only have to refresh business numbers on the list, and that’s once a year, no need for all this faff.
