It quickly became apparent that it was a classic scam involving www.teamviewer.com and www.support.me, where they falsely assert that there’s an issue with your computer (without specifying what, of course). They start prodding you about whether there are any lights blinking on your router, which there naturally should be, but they spin it as though it signals a problem. I managed to keep them talking and led them on a wild goose chase for an hour and a half before I grew weary of deciphering their thick accents.
