They kept ringing and then dropped the call as soon as my kids picked up.

My elderly dad, who’s in his 80s, got a call from this number. He immediately felt something was off and began asking them a lot of questions. They got quite rude and just ended the call. Then a couple of days later, they rang me saying they were from BT and could help me save some cash. Since I actually work for BT, I was curious how they thought that was possible. After I asked a few things, they quickly realised I wasn’t fooled, started swearing at me, and then hung up. I’ve reported the number through the proper channels in hopes they get blocked or even prosecuted.

Someone rang saying they were “the account manager” from BT and asked for my bank info but couldn’t give me a proper reason why. When I told them I thought it was a scam, they went on about our internet being disconnected. Definitely not the first time this number has called with something fishy like this.

Got a call from some folks pretending to be from BT - total scam, don’t trust them!

Just after eight in the morning, I got a call from someone who sounded like a woman or maybe a young bloke. They spoke English but had a faint American accent and called me “ma’am.” They said they were from BT, but I told them we’re not customers and that it was clearly a scam before hanging up. The voice actually seemed familiar, like one I’ve heard many times before from those annoying Microsoft scam calls over the years.

Got a call from someone saying they were with BT and asking for my bank info. When I asked them to provide my BT account number first, they just ended the call.

I’ve been receiving calls from this number for the past couple of days. The first time I answered, there was some sort of foreign accent - it sounded like a call centre - so I promptly hung up. Today, though, it was just silence on the other end. Quite off-putting, really!

Just received yet another call purportedly from the "BT Accounts Department." When I requested a contact number to return the call, I was rather reluctantly provided with a half-baked one. Just a quick heads up: I’m not even a BT customer! Cheers, Nemo.

I received a rather curious call from someone claiming to represent BT's Accounts Department regarding my phone bill. The thing is, I’m actually with Plusnet! Quite the mix-up, wouldn’t you say?

Somebody just ringin me up sayin they’re from BT trying to get my bank details, sayin I could save 25% or summat. Like yeah, as if I’m gonna fall for that! Total load of rubbish.

Absolutely awful call! The chap had a strong accent that sounded foreign. He claimed to be representing BT regarding my account and then inquired whether I was a home customer or running a business. I replied that, if he was genuinely calling from BT, he ought to already know that. At that point, he just cut the line.

I received a call from someone claiming to be from BT, saying I could get three months' free line rental. They wanted me to verify my card details by confirming my number. What raised alarm bells was that they had the first four digits of my bank card already and were asking me for the rest. I refused to give any information. Following that, I promptly contacted my bank and had my card cancelled and replaced. The caller had an accent that sounded distinctly Asian, which added to my suspicion. It was definitely a scam, so please be careful and don't fall for such tricks!
