aventis - honestly, this doesn't seem like a scam to me. i realised i never updated my address on my v5, so my car tax hadn’t been renewed for ages. when i called, i provided my name, address, and the reference they gave, and they confirmed the debt came from the dvla. they even mentioned my old address and car registration, all tied to that unpaid tax. since everything checked out and i actually owed the money, i didn’t suspect anything dodgy.
