My mother received calls from this number twice. The first time, when she answered, there was silence on the line. During the second call, there was quite a bit of background noise, making it difficult for me to catch everything that was being said. It seemed like they were trying to sell her some sort of newspaper subscription, which she seemed amenable to. However, when they asked for her payment details, she firmly turned them down and suggested that she would settle up with a cheque after receiving the paper, just like she used to do with her local newsagent. When I tried ringing the number back to check it out, I got a recorded message saying that the number wasn’t recognised.
