(01782 970169) No idea who they are, looks like a Stoke-on-Trent number but it’s definitely fake. Honestly, just a bunch of idiots messing about.

You should report it to 7726, that helps flag suspicious numbers across the network with phone companies. Sadly, the usual way of reporting scams directly through the police’s 'Action Fraud' online form has been shut down now - probably to save money? If you’re annoyed about that, maybe raise it with your MP. You can still send screenshots of scam texts directly by email to the cybercrime unit at '[email protected]', and don’t forget to forward the number details to 7726 as well.

I suspect this chap was attempting to pull a fast one on me. He claimed to be from Sky but didn't even get my name right. Apparently, he was ringing to sort out a refund, but it all felt rather fishy to me.

So it turns out this firm must’ve picked up my info from Sky, but the issue is Sky spelled my name wrong over a decade ago. Now, out of the blue, this random company is calling asking for that incorrect name. Weird how one little mistake just keeps following me!

I called but it just went straight to voicemail, no message or anything. Seems like they’re just trying to see if the number's active.
