This number has rung me 4 times in less than a week! Very annoying! I think it’s linked to some insurance claims outfit. I renewed my car insurance over the phone about 6 days back, and since then I’ve been flooded with calls from different personal injury and accident claim firms. Had this bloke on the phone who sounded quite rude and had a pretty thick accent. He struggled to say the name properly and obviously wasn’t interested when I tried to teach him some manners over the phone. Then, out of nowhere, he just ended the call! Bit of a shame really.

It's clear why the government allows these idiots to roam free behind phone lines, right?

It really upsets me thinking about the vulnerable folks who end up getting caught out by these scams and lose their hard-earned cash.

Best thing to do is just ignore calls from unknown numbers or calmly ask to be removed from their calling list.

Absolute bloody nightmare getting calls from these call centre bots! They don't give a toss if you're in the middle of something, like cooking dinner - seriously, it winds me right up. Honestly, I’d recommend you just ignore this number, block it straight away, and definitely sign up with the Telephone Preference Service. After that, just hope the powers that be finally do something about these relentless nuisance calls. No surprise the government turns a blind eye - there’s obviously a fat pile of cash changing hands behind the scenes. Constantly getting calls about some accident we supposedly had. Yeah, we had a crash ages ago, but everything was sorted out fully back then. These calls never stop though, and it’s so frustrating. Got a call from some bloke with a really thick Irish accent, chat was about some car accident claim from a couple years back. I told him I’ve never been in an accident, plus I don’t even drive. He quickly said sorry and said he must’ve got the wrong number. Bit funny, my phone then died right in the middle, so that was that!

Got a call from this number trying to fish for info about a car crash. The bloke on the other end only had my name and nothing else. I’m so fed up with random calls from unknown companies, I don’t give them any details. Spent about 6 minutes on the call, and all he wanted was to chat about some accident claim. Every time I asked him about when the accident supposedly happened, he just said "sometime last year." I told him if he was really from my insurance he should know more than just my name. The caller had a thick Asian accent which made it quite tricky to catch what he was saying. After a bit, I figured out he was talking about a car crash involving someone I know. I told him no one in my family was involved. He kept pushing, saying someone at my place was. I joked back saying that would be something, considering my dogs haven’t learnt to drive yet! I was curious how someone in India was connected to my insurance though. I played along for a bit, asking him which of the three accidents he was talking about. He kept pushing despite me insisting I hadn’t driven for eight years (which is true). Then I told him he was fishing for vulnerable folks before hanging up. Thing is, my address is called "Crane Forge," so a proper English speaker would've twigged straight away. But no, he probably just read off some dodgy contact list in his broken English. What a muppet!
