I just let two calls from this number slip past me without answering. From now on, I'm going to give it a wide berth.

This number kept ringing me non stop, probably pushing me to file some injury claim. I’ve gone ahead and blocked it now.

This number has rung me 4 times in less than a week! Very annoying! I think it’s linked to some insurance claims outfit. I renewed my car insurance over the phone about 6 days back, and since then I’ve been flooded with calls from different personal injury and accident claim firms. Even after I explicitly told my insurer not to share my info with anyone or pass my details on, they didn’t listen at all. They’ve blatantly ignored my request. Definitely won’t be going back to this clueless insurance company! If you're thinking about renewing with Swinton, watch out!

Yet another phone call regarding some supposed accident. Honestly, these callers really ought to be taken to task for this nonsense-perhaps a good public shaming would do the trick!

I encountered a rather impolite fellow sporting a unique accent who couldn’t accurately say the name he was after. I made an effort to enlighten him on proper phone manners, but he cut the call abruptly! What a pity!

I received a call from someone claiming to be inquiring about an accident I supposedly experienced. When I clarified that I hadn't been in any such incident, they promptly ended the call. It was not only frustrating, but downright impolite as well!

It's the same old story, isn't it? Had a road traffic accident in the past couple of years. Got a call from some firm named Pro Claim, or so they said, but the rest of their spiel was utter gibberish - too fast for me to grasp any of it!

Absolutely, the TPS is nothing short of a farce, akin to the worthless junk mail churned out by Royal Mail. It’s rather clear why the government allows these muppets to blunder about with our telephone systems, isn’t it? My heart truly aches for those who are more vulnerable and sadly end up being ensnared by this nonsense that seems to plague our modern era, robbing them of their hard-earned cash. The best course of action? Simply ignore any numbers that seem unfamiliar, or, if you must engage, kindly request that they remove you from their calling list.

Utterly infuriating are those pesky call centre drones, incessantly ringing just when one is trying to prepare dinner! Honestly, it drives me up the wall! My advice? Just don’t answer calls from this number. Better yet, block it entirely! Consider registering with the Telephone Preference Service and let’s hope the universe whisks these mindless bots away to some far-off dimension. It seems the government’s happy to turn a blind eye to these nuisances, probably because there’s a fat profit to be made from them, isn’t it? We're nothing more than pawns in the grand game of these greedy corporations, set up to be exploited at every turn. - number in question: 01782930996

Yet another call about an alleged accident, and it's becoming quite tiresome. Sure, we did have an incident ages ago, but all the claims were sorted out ages back. It’s really getting on my nerves now. Even though we've registered with the Telephone Preference Service, it seems utterly futile. Not a single day passes without receiving one of these nuisance calls. When will the authorities finally take action against these persistent offenders?

I received a call regarding an alleged accident we supposedly had two years back! I assured him that we hadn’t been involved in any such incident, and then he launched into a rapid-fire spiel, his Indian accent really prominent, insisting that we had. When I attempted to ask for the name of the company he represented, he turned around and accused me of being impolite! It was utterly baffling!

Got a call about getting my "Sky" insurance cheaper, but we actually don’t have that box insured anymore. I told the guy what I thought about his sneaky sales pitch, but he just wasn’t interested. Total scam if you ask me!

Utterly clueless individuals spreading a load of nonsense. They must be receiving some sort of dodgy backhanders from unscrupulous solicitors.

Honestly, how is it permissible for them to pursue innocent folks without any reason?

I've been getting quite a few calls on my mobile from various little town numbers lately. The only time I picked up, the scammer barely got three seconds in before I shared my thoughts with them. Now, I’ve made it a habit not to engage with any of these callers at all!

Got a call from some bloke with a really thick Irish accent, chat was about some car accident claim from a couple years back. I told him I’ve never been in an accident, plus I don’t even drive. He quickly said sorry and said he must’ve got the wrong number. Bit funny, my phone then died right in the middle, so that was that!

I’ve just noticed a missed call from this number and I think I’ll give it a miss. Caller: Unknown.

I received a rather dubious phone call from this number, clearly on the hunt for information regarding a road traffic incident. Strangely enough, the caller had absolutely no specifics apart from my name. I'm absolutely sick to death of these intrusive calls from random firms, so I always keep my guard up and refuse to divulge anything. This particular conversation lasted around six minutes, and his focus was fixated on urging me to make an accident claim. Every time I quizzed him about the date of the supposed incident, he could only muster that it occurred sometime last year. I pointed out that with only my name to go on, he clearly didn't know what he was talking about, and if he were genuinely representing my insurance firm, he’d possess more relevant details. He abruptly hung up after that!

I keep getting calls from this number about ten times daily, and every time they just hang up! Is there any chance you could block them or do away with their services? It's really quite annoying!

The caller had a thick Asian accent which made it quite tricky to catch what he was saying. After a bit, I figured out he was talking about a car crash involving someone I know. I told him no one in my family was involved. He kept pushing, saying someone at my place was. I joked back saying that would be something, considering my dogs haven’t learnt to drive yet! Still, he wouldn’t drop it. Gotta admit, they do put in the effort. Blocked the number after that.

I just had a rather curious experience with this number - rang me, but there was no one there when I picked up, and then it just went silent. After seeing what others have said about it, I’ve gone ahead and blocked it. Best to be safe, I reckon!

Having perused the comments, it's evident that we’ve experienced a similar pattern with this caller, having received four consecutive calls where they simply rang and then cut off. On the fifth attempt, the chap on the line inquired about MD concerning EE phones. I informed him that I had just looked up the number and discovered it belonged to a troublesome caller. To my surprise, he acknowledged it and promptly disconnected. How refreshing it is to encounter a bit of honesty for once!

I've just had yet another incessant call, making it a staggering twenty times in a single day! Who exactly is responsible for addressing this issue? Reporting it seems utterly pointless if there's no follow-up action taken. It would be really appreciated if the authorities could pay attention to these bothersome calls. Cheers!

I've had quite enough of these absolute muppets who can't seem to string a sentence together! It's infuriating, to say the least. They keep ringing both my landline and mobile, and it’s driving me round the bend. Seriously, just take a hint and stop calling me already!

I've been inundated with calls during the day from this firm claiming there's been some sort of accident at home, and they're keen to discuss compensation. The thing is, we're on the Telephone Preference Service list, which means these calls shouldn't even be coming through to us. They're nothing short of irritating and bothersome, and frankly, it's high time they put an end to this sort of nonsense.

Blimey! Just had a right nuisance of a phone call from 01782 930996 regarding a car crash from three years back. They’re claiming to be from the National Advice Bureau-did a bit of digging online and it turns out they’re a total phantom operation; didn’t find a trace of them on Companies House. Shocking, isn’t it? The authorities ought to take a strong stance against these shoddy characters. I’m baffled as to how they got hold of my details-likely from those comparison site shenanigans? Caller ID: National Advice Bureau? What a farce!

The Telephone Preference Service feels utterly pointless. It would be far more sensible for BT and other telecom providers to create a solution that allows landline users to block unwanted calls without the need to shell out for unreliable gadgets.

Isn’t it a bit puzzling that BT doesn’t provide a straightforward way for us to block nuisance calls like you can easily do on a mobile phone? It would be so much more user-friendly if they could sort this out!

I've received a couple of calls from this number, and it seems they've changed their approach. They pretended to be associated with UK pensions. When I pressed "Sam," the alleged caller, for more details, they abruptly hung up on me. Quite suspicious, if you ask me!

The chap on the line had such a thick Indian accent that I struggled to grasp what he was droning on about. However, when I heard the word "accident," I felt a twinge of sympathy but was baffled as to why he’d be ringing me to chat about it. To my relief, he hung up before I could unleash any unkind words.

Honestly, it would be rather smart if these dodgy characters employed individuals who could articulate themselves in plain English, don’t you think?

I just had a rather dodgy phone call from someone claiming to know about an accident of mine from the past three years. The chap, who had a distinct Indian accent, mentioned he was calling from Bolton and had somehow got hold of information from my RTA report. I played along for a bit, even making up that I’d had three mishaps recently and asked him to clarify which one he meant. Despite the nonsense I was throwing at him, he kept on pursuing me. Eventually, I called him out for preying on those in vulnerable situations, as I haven't been behind the wheel in nearly eight years (which is the truth), and I decided to end the conversation. To my surprise, he rang me back immediately, so I took the liberty of blowing a whistle down the receiver. I dare say, I hope that made his ears ring! What a disgusting opportunist!

I've received a staggering 20 calls from this number within just 25 hours! It's absolutely relentless. I've blocked the number and lodged a complaint with the ICO, but I'm at a loss for the TPS since I can't provide a company name. Honestly, it feels like TPS could do with a serious overhaul in user-friendliness.

A chap called James Anderson, who spoke with quite a pronounced Asian accent, rang me up. He was inquiring about a Mr Crane and seemed particularly keen on discussing a car accident that took place two years back. Now, considering that my residence is named "Crane Forge," you’d think he’d have picked up on that little detail if he were from around these parts. What a numpty! He was just rattling off from some pre-purchased directory in his rather garbled English.
