Today I received a rather dubious telephone call from this number. The individual on the other end claimed to be from Microsoft's Tech Support, mentioning something about viruses lurking on my computer. It was quite apparent they were calling from abroad. I told them I was preoccupied and promised to ring them back at a later time. They provided me with the number 0800 031 4014, which belongs to thetechhelpline.co.uk, a company registered at Synthesis Business Park, Action Area-II, Newtown, Rajarhat, Kolkata, 700157, India. The caller rang me again, stating that the Indian location was merely an outsourced facility, asserting that the main office was in 'Greater London'. However, when I pressed for the actual London address, she seemed rather evasive. Instead, she mentioned a Las Vegas address, which, upon a quick search on Google Maps, turned out to be nowhere near Greater London. After I continued to inquire, she abruptly ended the call.
