8 monthsI reckon this number might’ve been copied from a real company, so it’s not really a scam anymore.8 monthsGot a call from someone saying they were with the credit card fraud department, telling me I had to 'cancel' a payment of £1350 - but I reckon they wanted to get me to approve it instead. The bloke sounded polite and quite smooth, but he was really insistent. Thankfully, I spotted the trick and ended the call. When I rang my credit card issuer afterwards, they told me it was definitely a scam.9 monthsGot a call from someone claiming to be Cap 1, said they were trying to access my account, sounded quite legit but I had a strong feeling it was a scam, watch out everyone.Cap 19 monthsGot a call from a number I didn’t recognise - total scam, watch out!9 monthsDon’t be fooled by this - I’ve just been caught out by a scam. A polite bloke claiming to be from Barclays fraud team rang me. He somehow made a notification pop up on the Barclays app to “prove” he was legit. I foolishly believed him and gave away info that allowed them to access my mobile banking and try to move some money. Thankfully, Barclays themselves stopped the transfer. They also told me to dial *21* plus a phone number to forward calls, so all Barclays calls would go to them instead. Stay alert, this is really sneaky!Barclays10 monthsHad a long chat with someone trying to get my banking details, said they were from Sainsbury’s credit card fraud dept. Definitely a scammer. The bloke called himself Alexander and mentioned another guy named David Grimes. I’ve let Sainsbury’s know about it.SainsburyAlexanderDavid Grimes11 monthsAbsolute scammer.Submit Your Own Report (01782 307413)
