It's worrying because I know older folks might easily fall for this and end up handing over money for useless stuff, or worse, their bank details.

Got called by a lady with what sounded like an Indian accent, there was this constant buzzing like a call centre in the background. I just ended the call and blocked the number straight away.

This is just one of those pointless annoying companies that have nothing better to do than bother folks. Honestly, don't pick up calls from numbers you don’t recognise, it only encourages these scammers more.

My phone rang at 2pm when we weren’t home, but they didn’t bother leaving a voicemail or anything.

Got a call from some dodgy person claiming they could fix my TV for a "special low price". Sounds like a right scam to me.
