Got a call from a guy with a strong Indian accent, bit tricky to get what he was saying. He claimed there was an issue with my computer and somehow grabbed my IP address, said he’d send it to a higher-up tech to sort it out. I humoured him for a bit, pretending to turn on my PC and all that. After a while, he realised I wasn’t falling for it, and then he started cursing like mad while I just had a good laugh at him.

Got a call from an Asian guy asking to speak to my missus, so I just hung up on him. I get loads of these annoying calls. Tried signing up for the Telephone Preference Service but it’s useless!

Some guy called Jack, said he was from Benefits UK or something, bit dodgy if you ask me. He kept asking me questions, I just told him no thanks. Then he got a bit narky about it. He rang me yesterday as well - weirdly, I’m half hoping he rings again tomorrow!

On 24/01/2018 at 12:10, I got a call on my landline from this number. A bloke with an Asian accent said he was from the 'Benefits department' and had some questions for me. It was pretty obvious it was a scam, so I just ended the call straight away. The number looks quite legit though, so it could easily fool someone into answering properly.

Had a call this morning from what looked like a number nearby, but it was actually from Stoke on Trent. I answered with a hello, they replied hello back, I said hello again and then they just hung up. Seems like they were testing if my number’s legit since these are usually done by some computer system. It was my landline that got the call. I guess I’ll just wait and see if they ring again.

Got a call and as soon as I picked up, the person just dropped the line. Pretty annoying.

Someone called me using the wrong name, thinking I was this guy's wife. I told them to see if they could talk to the person who's actually dead. They just dropped the call straight away. Total coward!

Got a call from 0178228054, and straight away they started asking for personal details. When I tried to find out who they were and their name, they just hung up on me. Pretty suspicious if you ask me.

i ignored the call at first, assuming it was another ppi scam. these lot seem to get ahold of phone numbers linked to your name and then harrass you about car insurance, ppi claims, or if you’ve had a crash in the past few years. they often try to get you talking by first confirming your name and number, then start prying for your address, email, and other info. whenever i asked them for their company details and office address, they hang up straight away.
