The bloke said his name was Adam Wilmot and he said he was from Virgin Media, claiming there was something wrong with my internet. I told him I’d get my engineer to have a look, and then the call just cut off.

got a call from someone saying they were with bt, told me there was suspicious international activity on my internet between 2-Gamill or something. i asked them for my ip and router mac address to check, and they just hung up on me! seemed dodgy, they didnt even know my router model or anything. definitely blocking this number now.

I picked up the call and there was nothing but silence at first. I was about to end it after around 15 seconds when I caught a faint robotic voice before the call dropped. Looks like it was some kind of automated dial checking if the number’s active. I’m pretty sure they’ll try more scam calls in future!

they called me really late and didnt even leave a message. quite annoying to get a call at such a rude time.
