A woman with an Indian or Pakistani accent called me, saying she was from BT. She said my internet was at risk and that she had to do some tests which meant I needed to be in front of my computer. I told her straight away I thought she was trying to scam me but she kept pushing to keep me on the line. Eventually I ended the call and rang BT myself, who told me it wasn’t them. If you get a call like this, just hang up and don’t share any personal details. Definitely report the number as well.

Got a call from a number I didn’t know so I just didn’t pick up. Looked up the code and it’s from Stoke-on-Trent, but I’ve got no links there or any relatives nearby. They didn’t leave any voicemail either, so I figured it was probably just some kind of scam.
