Reports on phone number 01782258522
3 yearsI received a call earlier today from a lady claiming to be from Microsoft, insisting that hackers had compromised my computer. When I suggested I’d seek help from PC World, she insisted that only Microsoft had the means to resolve the issue. I decided to end the conversation, but she rang me again, to which I firmly requested she refrain from calling me any further. Though her accent was distinctly American, I found it curious that the number resolves to Stoke on Trent in the UK. I’m not entirely convinced it’s a scam, but I’m certainly not about to grant any unsolicited caller access to my computer!MicrosoftPC WorldStoke on TrentUK4 yearsSomeone rang me claiming to be from BT Openreach discussing my internet speed. They insisted I download an app called TVQS, which is a screen-sharing tool similar to TeamViewer. Once I made it clear that I wasn’t about to let anyone take control of my device, they abruptly hung up. Typical scam, if you ask me!BT OpenreachSubmit Your Own Report (01782 258522)
