Got a call from a number claiming to be from "Stamford" but I bet it wasn't from any UK call centre. The person on the line had a really thick accent and I couldn't catch the company name properly. Total scammy lot. Ive blocked this number ages ago but it somehow keeps ringing through my phone. No idea how they manage it.

I'm on the TPS list, so not sure how this number managed to get past. When I answered, there was complete silence on the other end, so I just ended the call.

Got a phone call from someone with a thick Indian accent trying to push me into changing my gas and electric supplier. I said I'm not interested and also told her that the company she's mentioning doesn't even operate around here. Still, she kept going with her rehearsed spiel. I told her she really should do some research before wasting her time and money calling places where there's only a few energy options. She grumbled, admitted I was right, then just hung up. Blocked their number straight away.

Got a call from a call centre overseas, a woman on the line who seemed really worried about the price I was paying for my electricity.

They ring me loads during the day. When I pick up, it either just hangs up or there’s a long pause before anyone speaks. Some energy firm claiming they have the best deals, apparently!
