The caller claimed to be from BT, but there was loads of noise in the background - kids shouting, traffic sounds, the lot. It didn’t give off a proper professional vibe, even if they were working remotely. When I looked up the number, it popped up linked to a sports shop. He kept telling me that every time someone used our internet - whether on Facebook, WhatsApp, or for online shopping - we were getting hacked, and he wanted to walk me through stopping it right then and there. I didn’t fall for it, turned down his help, and blocked the number straight away.
