Got a call from a guy who sounded like he was working in some Indian call centre, said he was from the 3 network. I told him straight up he was a scammer and ended the call. Turns out I wasn’t mistaken, someone just reported that number as belonging to EE.

I got a ring from someone claiming to be Sam from Vodafone, speaking with an Indian accent. He was trying to sell me a brand new iPhone or Samsung for £30 a month, which supposedly included unlimited calls and data. Right away, I could tell it was a scam but decided to play along. I fired off a few questions, but Sam kept dodging and just repeated the same sales pitch. I didn’t hold back and told him straight up he was trying to con me. That’s when he abruptly ended the call.
