I received a phone call about a small car accident supposedly within the past 18 months. I told them I hadn’t been involved in any crash. The person on the other end was really hard to make out, so I found myself repeatedly saying “sorry?” to catch what they were saying. Then I heard a bit of a sigh or “tut” before they just hung up on me.

Just got a really annoying call from this number. They rang me out of the blue, claiming I’m owed compensation for a car accident. Since I’ve had two separate hit-and-runs while my car was parked safely, I asked which one he meant. He couldn’t give me an answer. When I suggested it was just a random cold call, the bloke started shouting and swearing at me, telling me to get lost and calling me horrible names. I hung up straight away and blocked the number on my phone. No idea how they got hold of my details, but seriously, don’t pick up if this number rings you unless you fancy being sworn at for asking questions.
