Got a call from a bloke named John claiming to be from some driveway firm. He was quite polite and asked if we actually still had a driveway. Pretty clear they’re trying to sell their driveway services. I told him straight up I never asked any driveway companies to ring me. He just replied with an OK and hung up. Seems to me they’re just fishing around for info to try and get a sale. Would be careful with these calls. If you’re after a new driveway, best you choose who contacts you yourself.

Got a call from someone saying they were Driveway Centre, supposedly from Southampton, but the number they rang from suggests they're actually in Bourne. They claimed to be a nationwide firm - wow, really? We're registered on TPS and even used to be in the Directory, so how did this call slip past? I had a bit of time to kill and was planning on having some fun with the caller, but annoyingly he just hung up! We've had the same driveway since 1947 and definitely don’t want a new one!

Got a call from a bloke named John claiming to be from the Driveway Centre, said their main office is in Southampton. When I asked how they found our number, he said it was from some renewable energy database with info on people who've had recent green energy work done. I told him I had no idea why we’d be listed there and then he just cut the call. Pretty strange really. We’re definitely on the TPS list and have our number ex-directory. On top of that, he never asked for anyone specific and we hardly ever pick up our landline these days, so it reeks of a scam to me.

I got a call from someone saying he was John at the Driveway Centre. When I called him out on it being dodgy, he quickly switched and said he was now ringing from the Renewable Energy Register! Next time, I’m just gonna mess with him a bit and kill some time, since he clearly has none for me.

Got a really annoying cold call from some company off the x directory, trying to push resin driveways on me. Told them to stop and asked how they even got my number - felt a bit dodgy if you ask me. Honestly, I wouldn’t touch resin driveways with a bargepole, they’re rubbish. They don’t last, get damaged by sunlight, oil drips from cars and even walking on them with heels can wreck the surface, not to mention if you have to use a jack on your car nearby. Completely avoid this stuff and those sellers!
