These scammers are really preying on older folks who might not catch on quick. They rang my nan, who’s 95, three times on the 28th of February, warning her that her line was about to be cut off. BT have told me it’s all a scam. The number you get when dialling 1471 isn’t even real. They keep swapping their numbers so they can dodge the call blocking features. It’s awful stuff.

These people are preying on the elderly and those who are easy targets. Today (28/2), my 95-year-old aunt was called three times by them, warning her that her phone line would be cut off. BT has confirmed this is a known scam. The number you see after using 1471 is not real. They keep switching the number to dodge any call-blocking features.
