I got a call where an American sounding lady said our internet was gonna be disconnected and to press 2 to speak with BT. I hung up straight away and called BT myself, but they said there was nothing wrong and the internet was fine. Later on today, my husband got a similar call but this time it was a foreign guy saying the exact same thing. I reckon this kind of scam could really worry older folks who might not spot it’s fake.
