I saw a local number pop up on my caller ID so I picked up. The person claimed to be calling from Amazon and said there had been an attempt to withdraw £300 from my bank or credit card the night before. I wasn't entirely certain which account they mentioned as the caller was hard to follow, maybe because they had an accent from the Indian subcontinent. Felt dodgy straightaway, so I just ended the call. Pretty clear it was a scam.
