9 yearsJust had a call from a lady claiming to be Mary Williams, but her strong Indian accent was a dead giveaway. She started off by telling me there was an issue with my router and wanted me to switch on my computer. I told her my router was working perfectly fine, then she insisted I turn on my Windows computer. I told her straight up I don’t even own a PC - we ain’t living in the ‘90s, after all! She hung up on me. Sounds like a classic scam where they try to get you to download some dodgy software claiming your system’s infected, then demand money to sort it out.
