Got a call from this London-ish number that was supposed to be the contact for the customer - it seemed to be from Appliances Direct, Berristow Lane, South Normanton, Derbyshire. They were talking about a delivery for some appliance I never ordered. I looked up the number on the official Appliances Direct site and it’s nowhere to be found there.

Got a message from this number, looks like it’s part of some scam email - check out the other post for details. The number came up as Ripley area, which isn’t far from South Normanton where I live. But the email itself was full of spelling mistakes and weird grammar, made it look really dodgy.
