Someone claiming to be from Sky called to say our monthly bill had dropped by £2. The guy said his name was Daniel and gave me an extension number, 1328. Then he transferred me to a manager who repeated the same info, told me to cancel my direct debit to avoid double payments, and started asking for bank details. I refused and hung up. They tried ringing back but I just cut it off. When I called Sky myself, they confirmed it was a scam and warned that any real changes would always arrive in writing. Never give out your bank info on the phone!

They rang me but put the phone down as soon as I picked up.

Answered the phone and said hello, but all I got was silence and a quick click. Been getting loads of calls like this recently, all with no one actually there.
