Received one of those automated calls today where they claimed to be from BT, threatening to disconnect my internet. Quite a laugh, considering I'm not even a customer of theirs! I managed to connect with someone on the other end and decided to have a bit of fun, giving them all sorts of made-up info. Eventually, I inquired about the name of her company, and it seemed she was completely in the dark. Rather amusingly, she then just ended the call.

Classic internet service rip off call! If someone rings up saying they're from your internet company, beware. They might tell you that your computer is sending error alerts or that it’s infected with a virus. Best advice: don’t hand over any money to these people, as paying them won’t promise you get your data back or fix your PC at all.
