I received a rather suspicious automated call, claiming to be from Amazon, informing me that £79 was about to be deducted from my bank account for their Prime membership. Strangely, the call abruptly ended, and afterwards, the line was noticeably engaged, which caused quite the delay in getting back to a dial tone. I decided to verify this with Amazon directly, and they confirmed that they don’t make calls to their customers at all. It turns out, it was just a scam!
