Got a call from 01772972698 at 1:40 this arvo, same scammy nonsense again. Honestly, sending them off on a deserted island with no escape sounds like a better option than cursing them - but obviously doesn’t do much good. They woke me up and I’m feeling awful with Covid atm. I usually avoid blocking as it just tells them the number’s live, but thinking I might have to this time. Maybe just mute em... still not sure tho.

01772972698 nutters ringing me once more! At least this time they didn’t manage to wake me up. I take back my earlier comment about headbutting them on the nose, I was feeling awful and well annoyed with them. Maybe they’d be better off just leaping off a boat into shark-infested waters full of stinging Portuguese man-of-war jellyfish to finally leave us alone.

They phoned regarding loft insulation. I told them no and asked to be removed from their list, but she just brushed me off saying everyone says that. I repeated, please remove me from your list. She then said I was being rude, but I told her I wasn’t rude, she just wasn’t paying attention. I said again remove me from your list and hung up. Blocked now!

And now, to make matters worse, there’s roadworks outside my place so no chance of getting back to sleep. Pretty sure this is one of those dodgy companies cos when I tried calling them back, no answer at all. By law, they’re supposed to have a proper call back option that tells you who they are. Then, just moments after the first call, I got another call from a number nearly identical, just the last two digits were different. I blocked them both straight away.

Received a few calls over the past couple days from numbers that looked alike, all about insurance stuff. I now check the numbers here first coz some of these callers get pushy. They usually talk with Asian accents but use typical English names, like I spoke to a Paul and a Kevin.

Got a call from a guy with a really thick Indian accent and the connection was awful. He was asking for someone with a Chinese name. I told him no one by that name lived here. Then he tried to talk to anyone in IT. I asked for some details but all he said was it’s something to do with Information Technology. I just sent him straight to voicemail.

However, they abruptly ended the conversation when I mentioned I was signed up with the Telephone Preference Service. Intriguingly, my caller ID registered two additional calls from them today.
