Got a call from a lady yesterday from Preston using the same number. She told me I’d been in an accident and tried to close my account, also asking if I’d received my payout. I told her I already had. Then she said I could get compensation up to £2,000 cause the accident wasn’t my fault. Seems dodgy to me.

Didnt even bother picking up, had a feeling it was one of those scam calls. Whenever I get weird numbers I always look them up on Who Called Me. From Preston, Manchester it seems. Clearly theyve got too much time on their hands!! Ive already blocked the number, bet theyll ring again though!!!

Someone rang me claiming to be from Legal and Assist. When I asked her to say it again, she already knew my name, which really bugs me how these scammers get personal info like that. She said it had something to do with a recent car crash, but I don’t even own a car, so I just ended the call. Total scam.

Got a call on 12/10/20 from someone saying my name’s Jackie and that I’d been in an accident. She claimed the number showed up as possible fraud on my phone so i told her that. She said she was working from home but I could clearly hear loads of noise like a call centre in the background. Told her she was lying and made a comment about how proud her parents must be. Then she just hung up.

I received a call from someone who astonishingly knew my maiden name, which I’ve not used for over 16 years. It was rather unsettling as they brought up an incident regarding some damage to my car from the past 18 months. I had to explain that I don’t even possess a driving licence! It was really odd and made me wonder how they got that information. Just as I was about to ask more, the caller, a woman with a rather husky and rough-sounding voice, abruptly ended the conversation.
