They claim to be associated with Crime Prevention and asserted they were working in my local area. However, when I inquired about the caller’s identity, they abruptly hung up. Quite suspicious, if you ask me!

this number has been calling me on and off lately. most times they just drop the call or you can hear weird noises in the background. finally picked up today and they claimed to be partnering with the local police to install alarm systems. then they asked if I live at a certain address, which was wrong. as soon as I said no, the woman just ended the call.

The caller had a robotic accent, likely Indian - sounding very much like a typical Birmingham Punjabi, and the line was dreadful. They were masquerading as genuine operators, but it was all a load of rubbish - those cheeky scoundrels are definitely up to no good.
It was just a tiresome ramble, full of nonsense and flimsy chatter, clearly designed to deceive. A classic case of dodgy phishing, if you ask me.

Got a call from a number I didn’t know, no voicemail just some strange sounds. Instantly blocked!

I asked who it was and then they just hung up on me.

It happened three days in a row so I just giggled and ended the call each time - now they’re blocked.
