8 monthsI put the number straight on block and reported it as spam by texting 7726.8 monthsThis number keeps ringing me, trying to sell life insurance. I've blocked it now, it's obviously a scam.8 monthsThey keep ringing from different phone numbers, but since it’s their cash on the line, just keep them chatting for as long as you can. Usually after that, they won’t bother you anymore.8 monthsI’ve never actually had life insurance, but when this number called me trying to sell some, I decided to ask tons of questions. I ended up talking to them for about 35 mins just to waste their time and hopefully keep them from ripping off someone else.9 monthsThey called me saying they needed to go over my life insurance but wouldn’t say who they worked for or how they found my number. When I asked a few questions, they got all defensive and just ended the call. Quite odd really.9 monthsI let my phone’s call screening handle unknown numbers and the person on the other end just went silent and then shut off the call. Later, I looked up the number 01772 924976 on your "WHO CALLED ME" site and it turned out to be a SCAM. Glad I checked because now I've blocked it and reported the number.9 monthsHad two scam calls from different numbers, so I blocked this one right away too.10 monthsGot called by some dodgy call centre again, already the third time just today! I've gone and blocked the number now.10 monthsDidn’t know the number, so I just blocked it straight away.10 monthsJust another spam call, nothing but annoying junk.11 monthsTried ringing but no answer... sounded like a spam call.11 monthsThe number showed up flagged as possible spam.11 monthsGot a call from someone saying they were from ‘Media Insurance Company’ or something like that??? The weird thing is, my phone flagged the number as ‘Suspected Spam’ right away!!!!! Total sketchy vibes!!!Media Insurance Company7 yearsJust had a call from the Utilities Registration Service insisting that since we’ve moved, we need to set up a new energy supply immediately. We’ve indeed shifted to a new place, but honestly, the rest is just utter nonsense and smacks of a scam. I’ve come across others mentioning that they can become quite aggressive or unpleasant if you challenge them. According to the Business Juice website (not endorsing them or any other, mind you): The “Just Moved In” Con A lot of deceitful energy sales tend to crop up when people move into new properties. It’s quite a blatant ruse - they bombard you with phone calls, perhaps 10, 20, or even 30 in quick succession, until your resolve crumbles or fear tactics make you comply. They’ll warn you that as a newcomer to a property, you absolutely must have a legitimate energy contract, and if you don’t sign on the dotted line right away, you risk losing your energy supply or facing hefty penalties. This is absolute rubbish. Upon moving into a new place, you pick up the obligation to be supplied, but you don’t inherit the existing contract from the previous tenant. The current supplier will continue to provide you with energy until you decide otherwise. As someone without a contract, you've got the liberty to leave at any time or negotiate a deal with them whenever you fancy. Don’t rush into anything. You’ll initially be on ‘deemed rates’ which might be pricier than the standard contracts, but it’s not extortionate. Many suppliers will retroactively adjust your rates if you strike an agreement after a while. Always maintain your composure when faced with pressure. Don’t fall for their manoeuvres. - Came from the Utilities Registration Service.Utilities Registration ServiceBusiness Juice7 yearssomeone just rang me and dropped the call right away, definite spam!7 yearsgot a call from this number earlier, but no voicemail was left so i just blocked it straight away7 yearsI received a call from what they called the “usage adjustment team” at a utilities sales firm. They insisted I had to clarify some particulars and resolve an “issue” before they could activate my account. Clearly, this is just a sales operation and not an official entity. - Caller: Utilities firm7 yearsGot called a whopping seven times today by these pesky spammers.
