Someone rang me from 03332127593 saying they were from RA Legal. Seemed a bit dodgy to me.

Just after my crash, I got a ring from RA Legal about a ‘category C’ payout for distress, supposedly from the other driver’s insurer. They reckoned this applied if the damage on both cars was around £500. I rang my own insurance company to check, and it turns out they weren’t linked to Elephant, who I actually use. Really glad I didn’t hand over any details. Have a word with them about where they even got your info from, cause it feels like a data protection breach to me.

They claim to be legal (yeah, right) and were pushing me to file a claim over what they called minor pain from wearing a seatbelt! When I mentioned I hadn’t been injured, the bloke insisted I must’ve felt some discomfort and said I could get a cat c payout. Never once did he mention that they take a cut for themselves and that’s how they make money. I reported these lot to my insurer’s fraud department after getting calls from similar scammers before. Looks like I’ll be doing the same this time. They just keep ringing non-stop. Best to avoid them and not even answer.

Continuously receives calls, but then just hangs up.

This number has been ringing me like nonstop all week. When I pick up, there’s no one there, just silence. Sometimes, a robotic voice comes on and just says "goodbye." I’ve finally put them on my block list because it’s pretty annoying.
