They’ve been ringing up loads, saying they’re from the utility firm. What freaked me out was they already knew my name.

They keep ringing us over and over, even after we've asked them nicely to take us off their calling list. They claim to be from British Gas as some sort of utilities advisor. When we explained we only deal straight with the company and not any consultants, they just ignored us and kept on pestering. The caller was loud and pushy, using phrases like "how you doin' today" as if we're old pals. Absolutely not professional at all. In the end, we had no choice but to get our phone provider to block the number.
