Got a call from a bloke claiming to be from Kings, said he was returning a call to the director like he said he would. Thing is, he totally mixed up the name and was super vague about why he was calling. I offered to help instead of hassling the owner again, but he just kept insisting he wanted to speak to the director and said he’d call back. Just another time-wasting muppet, as if things aren’t hard enough right now!

I got a call out the blue from someone wanting to talk to the business owner. I told them we were selling up just to get them off the phone. Then, this same number rang me twice more. It’s actually a business sales firm. Honestly, I wouldn’t touch this kind of company with a bargepole, even if we were selling, which we definitely arent. Feels like dodgy practices from shady folks.

I received a call from this number today, with the caller requesting to speak to the business owner. I explained that the owner isn’t employed here. They then asked for an email address. When I inquired about the nature of the call, they insisted it was a confidential issue. I countered that the owner's email is also a matter of confidentiality, and I cannot divulge such information to someone who appears to be peddling phones or cleaning supplies. The caller insisted they weren’t selling anything, just discussing a confidential matter. I pointed out that if it were truly that private, they would already possess the owner’s details instead of phoning a branch where he might not even be available. The conversation ended abruptly with them saying it didn’t matter, then hung up.

I looked up that number and found it’s from the Altius Group’s homepage. They say they’ve been expert brokers in business sales for more than 40 years, providing lots of tailored and corporate services. Sounds like a trustworthy place, the Altius Group.

Today, we had a rather unusual call at our office. Someone introduced themselves as being from a firm named RDK and requested to have a word with one of the directors or perhaps the owner of the business. When I inquired about who exactly RDK were, she bypassed the question and fired back asking if I was a director or owner. I pressed again for more information about RDK, but she remained tight-lipped. Frustrated, I simply said 'CHEERIO!' and hung up the phone.
