I received a rather suspicious call from someone purporting to be from "Crown Energy," promoting a complimentary home assessment for energy efficiency. To be honest, it didn't ring true in the slightest, if you catch my drift.

Got a call from someone saying they did energy efficiency checks for homes. Ironically, they already knew my name and where I lived. I ended the chat quickly and put their number on block. Felt dodgy to me - councils or local schemes wouldn’t ring out of the blue like that.

They had me listed as the person who owns the place. When I questioned where they pulled my info from, the bloke just hung up on me. I've gone ahead and blocked the number and reported it.
