Like others have said, I got a call from someone claiming to be from the TPS, offering to upgrade the service. The person on the line had an accent that sounded like it was from India and asked if I was getting unwanted calls and what kind they were. They claimed they could stop all those annoying calls. Oddly enough, they already knew my name and address, and mentioned that since my phone bill was paid by direct debit, they could update my TPS account. Then they asked if I was a pensioner, which I’m not, and after that they seemed confused. They asked for the expiry date on my bank card, saying I had used it as a security question for TPS before. I kept telling them that info has nothing to do with TPS and refused to give details, then the caller just hung up. These types of calls are really frustrating and need to be stopped. My elderly aunt, who’s 89, got four calls in under three hours from the number 01772497856, but each time there was just silence. She usually waits for the other person to say something first before she speaks, especially if it’s someone she knows. It’s really unfair that she has to deal with this, especially at her age. Had a bloke called "Peter" on the line today, speaking in some dodgy broken English. He claimed he was from TPS and said they’d blocked all my scam calls for a year, but now the year was over and I’d gotta pay up. Same old number popping up again - 01772497856. Total scam if you ask me!

I've come across a rather dodgy call purporting to be from the TPS, insisting they required my expiry date and the three-digit security code from the rear of my debit card. Quite ridiculous, considering this service shouldn't cost a penny! Do keep your wits about you, as sharing such information could give them access to your bank account! After I mentioned I’d be alerting the fraud squad, they promptly hung up on me. They’ve tried to reach me five times just this week! My advice? If you’re contacted by these idiots, make sure to ring the fraud squad on 101; they’ll provide you with the necessary contact information.

I just got a call from someone claiming to be TPS. They mentioned that my subscription had run out and wanted to verify my info to set it up again. I got a call today and when I picked up, this lady with a bit of an accent asked if I was Mrs X. I told her no and then she just ended the call. Using 1471, I checked the number and it’s 01772497856. My mum got a call from someone claiming to be from the TPS, offering to 'upgrade' her service so she wouldn’t get any more nuisance calls. They even rattled off her name and address, saying since her phone bill was on direct debit, they could sort this upgrade. But the moment they asked for her card details and expiry date, she realised it was dodgy and refused to give anything. She ended the call straight away! It really shook her up, she was worried they had access to her personal info (I told her the stuff they mentioned was just her name and address, stuff anyone could find). Proper annoying and left her feeling uneasy :(
