I've been receiving calls for weeks from someone insisting they're from TalkTalk. At nearly 80 and with my arthritis, it’s such a bother to have to get up and answer the phone. When I do manage to pick it up, the person on the other end is often quite unpleasant and hangs up on me. They even called me before eight o'clock one morning-it's utterly maddening! I really wish they would just stop it already.

I usually get around three calls daily but mostly just ignore them. One time I picked up and it was one of those Indian or Pakistani-sounding people saying my Talk Talk router was infected and they needed to get into my computer. I played along for a bit, then told them straight up they were con artists. They just hung up, yet the calls keep coming. Talk Talk couldn’t care less about it.

Had another call from a TalkTalk scammer today. I told them I was connected to the local police fraud team and it seemed to make them hang up pretty quick. I always make sure to report these numbers to action fraud. Now there’s this new hack going around linked to TalkTalk, I reckon it won’t be too long before we get scammers hanging about outside homes, using our wifi to pull off their dodgy business.

My phone rang when I had no signal on the mobile, so I couldn’t answer. Later I looked up the number and found out it’s the one! Last week I got a couple of dodgy calls on my landline from people pretending to be TalkTalk’s ‘legal team’. One of them even said something about changing my IP address. I called TalkTalk to check and they said it was definitely a scam. They told me they never call customers out of the blue like that. They gave me a number to block the last caller. Just hang up and then dial 14258## to do it.
