Got a ring from 01772 419432 claiming to be from E-on, but when I looked it up, it actually traces back to Gamma Telecom Ltd. The number is apparently leased to 1st Businesses Connections Ltd, registered under company number 12705037. The contact is David Hartley, based at 17 Oakwood Drive, Preston, PR4 3EW. Seems this guy is linked to 6 companies that have been dissolved. Definitely wouldn’t trust them at all!!!

These web searches are pretty smart, almost like a reverse call centre setup. Got a bloke selling cooking oil snacks, very surprised when I asked a few questions. Just pick up and say you already have whatever they’re pushing, and they usually don’t ring back.

We just got a ring from an electricity supplier asking if we were responsible for the power account since the Men's Shed had supposedly moved locations. We explained that we're just tenants and the Trust actually handles the bills, then they ended the call. After seeing all the other comments, I can't help but wonder where they got their info from and how they’re allowed to cold call us like that. Earlier, there was a silent call from a different number in the same area code: 01772 419432. Thinking it was the same lot, we’ve gone ahead and blocked them.

Got a call from the electricity company asking about my new place I'm about to move into. Funny thing is, I haven't even told any of the utility services yet. Only clues out there are the 'to let' sign on the building and a post on my Facebook saying I'm moving. Maybe they spotted those or they're just psychic or something.

I got bombarded with 7 calls from these lot claiming someone told them I’m about to take over a business lease and need to switch the electricity provider. Complete con!!! This is a home address, not a business. Just ignore and hang up. When I asked where they’d pinned my info, they suddenly went all dodge, like seriously, don’t they have better things to do? Proper annoying. 🤬

This number’s a total sham, and so are those green safety ratings - all just bogus stuff. It’s definitely a scam, no doubt. If you want to do something about it, you should report every call to the police via the Action Fraud website. Just search “Action Fraud” in Google, and you’ll find their site. Have a look at their phishing info section first, then scroll down to the bottom of the page to file your scam report.

This morning, I got a call from a firm saying they were from some utility registration for my new business about rates and all that. What they didnt get was my business is actually registered at my home address at the moment. They phoned me three times between 8 and 8:40am. I pretended to be interested and asked loads of questions until I finally called them out on what they were doing.

Someone rang me up asking for the meter number so I could get it registered, saying it was something I had to do. I told them I don’t even have the keys to the place, so there’s no way I’d give out info about the meter. The bloke got really rude, telling me I’d be charged the highest rates if I didn’t comply and threatened to remove me from their system. But then, literally two minutes later, a woman phoned from the same number saying the same thing. I mentioned the previous call and the man’s attitude, and she denied anyone there would talk like that. Well, they obviously did, I’m not making this up. She also seemed really pushy, telling me that was my number and what I had to do. It felt really aggressive, like they were bossing me around. Not on, if you ask me.
