Anticipating her likely follow-up, I quickly stated that I had not sustained any injuries or disabilities from my time in the factory. Almost instantly, her enthusiasm waned, and she seemed to lose all interest in our discussion.

She said she's from the "National Workers Office" or something like that, started going on about Health & Safety and needing me to re-register. I asked if she'd checked the TPS list first, and she was like "Oh, you’re on that?" and then just hung up. Pretty dodgy if you ask me.

Got a call where someone said I’d been in a car accident driving. I told them that’s odd since I don’t actually have a driving licence and then they just ended the call. Blocked that number straight away.
