So frustrating! They ring me loads of times but every time I answer, there’s no one there. Then some pushy energy rep calls with nonsense about my gas supplier. I checked with British Gas and they told me loads of others are getting the same calls. Apparently, these are just brokers trying to confuse you and get you to switch. i mean this shows up as from lostock hall near preston, but honestly with all these virtual numbers out there (and with the government just not doing a thing to stop or regulate them properly) the call could really be from anywhere in the world. could easily be some dodgy company or scammer trying their luck.
