If folks didn’t take the bait, these calls wouldn’t keep coming through. HMRC usually sends letters in the post if there’s something up with your taxes, not calls out of the blue. Plus, the weird foreign accents totally give them away - none of them ever sound like proper UK voices. They'll throw out names like "David Smith" or something, but you can tell it’s not genuine from how they speak.

Got a voicemail saying there's an arrest warrant for me over unpaid taxes! How come bt doesn't block these dodgy calls and go after the scammers? I reckon some poor people might actually believe it and get caught out.
