Pressing 1 connected me to someone in a call centre who claimed there was an issue with my account and my broadband was going to be stopped. When I mentioned everything seemed fine and the usual solid white light was on, she seemed a bit flustered and insisted the problem was definitely with me.

I got a voicemail saying my internet would get cut off in just a few hours because my router is apparently faulty. They told me to press 1 if I wanted to chat with someone to sort out replacing the router. It just doesn’t sound like how my internet company would normally reach out to me.
