Much like what others have mentioned, I received a call from a gentleman with an Asian accent, purporting to be from BT, asserting there were issues with my internet connection. Upon questioning him, he responded with a hint of aggression before abruptly ending the call. It's rather baffling that this individual seems to be a habitual nuisance, and I can’t quite grasp why neither BT nor the authorities are doing anything to put a stop to this.

I missed the call and there was no voicemail or anything. Checked the number here and it's definitely one I'll be avoiding in future.

I recently received a phone call from a gent who had a distinctly Asian accent, claiming to be from BT Openreach. He warned me that my internet service was on the verge of being cut off in a mere two hours due to my computer allegedly receiving infected files. Naturally, I found this to be utter nonsense and informed him he had no authority to disconnect my internet connection. Despite my objections, he insisted he would proceed with the disconnection and I'd soon witness the consequences. After hanging up, I dialled the number back, only to discover it was non-existent. This marks the second time these pesky calls have come through!

Got a dodgy call from some guy saying he was 'Jordan' and working for BT. He had an Indian accent and it definitely felt like a scam. Be careful!

Just like the other reviews say, the internet was glitchy and the person they sent over spoke rubbish English. I’m not daft tho. Ended the call and made a complaint to BT straight away.

I received a call from a chap with an Asian accent claiming to be with BT. He said my internet would be terminated in two days and queried whether I was pleased about that. I thought it best just to hang up!

Rang me up claiming there was an issue with my BT internet service. Quite insistent he was. When I requested my account number, he simply cut off the call.

Like the person before me said, it was a caller from South Molton with an asian accent and honestly, I could hardly make out what he was saying - something about internet security. I told him I'm an IT consultant and saw straight through it being one of those scam calls, so I just hung up. Please don’t fall for this kind of thing - if you’re worried about your internet or phone, just ring BT directly.

had a bloke on the line, said he was with BT, asian guy, claimed my computer was causing internet trouble coz it got hacked and he could sort it out. thankfully, not daft enough to fall for that. told him the pc was upstairs but the phone was downstairs, lol. whenever i get calls like this, i try to keep them chatting as long as i can, hopefully draining their resources. curious how they manage to make a uk number come up on your caller ID, even tho it said ‘international’ on display.

someone rang me, said they were from bt and that my internet had been compromised. they said they could fix it for free if i just let them access my pc or laptop remotely, so i wouldn’t lose my connection forever. sounded like rubbish to me. when i asked them to tell me my name, the woman just froze and couldn’t answer, so i ended the call.

Got a call from someone claiming there was “error messages on my computer” - sounded like one of those classic scams to me. They tried to get me to give them access or something, but I just hung up right away. Be careful, folks!

I got a call from some guy who barely spoke English properly, saying there was something wrong with my internet. When I asked what exactly was wrong and how he even knew, he gave me a load of nonsense. Why does BT put up with this sort of thing? The number was from South Milton, but honestly, they might as well be from Devon in terms of trustworthiness. BT really ought to be ashamed for allowing these scams to go on. Sort it out, because plenty of your customers are getting duped. You should be accountable for this.

quite useless really, just silence when i call. wish the telephone preference scheme actually did its job. its annoying how phone companies just ignore these annoying calls and keep making money from them.

Got a call from South Molton, but it was an international one? Definitely sketchy. Blocking the number is useless cause these lot just hop onto a different one straight away. Someone else mentioned BT and how they really aren’t doing much - apart from blocking the number for me but not for others. Seems like they’re just chilling and cashing in.
