Got a call from a pushy Asian bloke claiming he was from 118. I told him "no thanks" straight away, but he got proper narky, saying "I’m not selling anything mate, just wanna do a survey and check your address." Told him I wasn’t giving out anything and he just got more wound up. Ended the call, blocked the number and reported it. Had a look at the number here, looks like he’s one of those repeat offenders.

Got a call from a man speaking with a loud call centre noise in the background, calling from 01769 571228 (South Molton). As soon as I realised he wasn’t someone I knew from around here, I hung up. Then he rang back straight away from 01650 519259 (Cemmaes Road) and got all rude, saying my “business” was rude for putting the phone down on him. I hung up for a second time, but he called back once more from 01369 760199 (Dunoon).

I received a call from an Asian gentleman whose surroundings resembled a bustling call centre, originating from 01769 571228, which I believe is registered to South Molton. Once I identified that the caller was not someone I recognised from the area, I decided to hang up. Not long after, he rang back using the number 01650 519259, linked to Cemmaes Road, and took on quite an aggressive tone, claiming that "your business" had abruptly ended the call. I chose to terminate that conversation as well, only for him to try again from yet another number, 01369 760199, which appears to be associated with Dunoon.

04 8 2020. My phone showed a call coming from South Molten Devon. I picked up thinking it might be something to do with work, but it took ages before someone answered. The person spoke with an Indian accent, but I could barely make out what they were saying because of all the background noise, which sounded just like a call centre. These area codes are being used a lot now to trick you into thinking it’s a local call. I’ve blocked the number, but I reckon that won’t stop the other spam calls from coming through.
