I got a call from someone asking for the owner of a business, which they mentioned. The place was a garage where I purchased a car like a decade ago, but it’s closed now - I don’t even run a business! Then the caller gave me a postcode that wasn’t mine and wrongly claimed I’d moved house. I haven’t moved anywhere. I’m signed up with the TPS, so this call was definitely unsolicited and probably a scam. I just ended the call and plan to report that number.

Got a call from a polite man with an Asian accent, but hard to catch exactly what he was saying. He claimed I was getting charged too much for my electricity and asked how much I pay. Felt a bit fishy to me.

Pretty clear this was a scam. The caller had a heavy accent and kept asking for the business owner. These calls came from 0165670664, which I’d already blocked after getting two calls from that number. Before that, there was a call from 01536213360. When I rang the 01536 number back, it connected me to some sort of utility helpline service.

Dodgy call warning: someone rang me claiming my energy company was charging me too much, but they couldn’t say which supplier or mention anything about my firm apart from its name. When I asked more questions, they got all shouty and lost their cool real quick. Best thing is to just hang up straight away or have a bit of fun winding them up if you’re up for it.

You can always spot those annoying telemarketers when they start with "How’s your day going?" I replied that I was fine until I got their call. After a short silence, he asked if he could talk to the owner. I told him I was the owner and I don’t entertain random scam calls. Then I ended the call and blocked the number.

Got a call at work from someone saying there was a "complaint" from the "National Grid". They wanted to speak with the owner but when I asked simple questions, they just wouldn't answer. I was looking after a mate's shop and got a call checking the postcode and what kinda business it was (didn’t mention the name tho). They said something about a problem with bills. The whole thing seemed a bit off. I told them to drop an email to the shop but didn’t give the actual email address. Seemed dodgy, especially when they kept asking when my mate would be back. I just didn’t answer that.

He sounded proper baffled and just hung up. Then I blocked the number. I really get a kick out of messing with these callers, they’re so irritating.
