I received a call today from a number claiming to be associated with the BT Technical team, insisting that my internet service was at risk of termination and that I should press 1 to speak to a BT representative. While I've encountered similar calls in the past, this is the first time from this particular number. I'm convinced it's a scam orchestrated by fraudsters targeting my BT internet account. I make it a point to hang up as soon as I realise it's one of these nuisance calls, but it's becoming increasingly exasperating to be bombarded by such calls consistently.
