8 years29th March 2018 @ 12.26 BST I received a rather dubious call from an individual purporting to be from Virgin Media. He asserted that they were dispatching a new router to me, claiming that my current one had been relaying alarming codes back to their system, suggesting it had fallen prey to some nasty viruses. Strangely, he mentioned that this same issue had affected numerous others in the vicinity. He insisted that the replacement would arrive this Friday, which, coincidentally, falls on Good Friday. The chap then requested that I power up one of my devices so he could guide me on configuring the new router, despite it not even being in my possession yet! I told him that my son usually takes care of these technical matters, at which point he stated he would call me back the following day (also Good Friday) before abruptly ending the call.
