7 yearsThis annoying number called me, so I decided to try the "1572 option 1" call blocking thing from BT. Turns out these lot have somehow messed with British Telecom’s system. The idiot on the other end totally ignored me telling him he was breaking the law. I asked if I could record him to catch his voice for ID, and surprisingly he said yes. So I just let him keep going with his dumb scam. I also warned him he was basically trying to trick the UK military police, which probably isn’t a great idea for him or his mates.BTBritish TelecomUK7 yearsGot the typical 24-hour heads-up about the internet being down!7 yearsGot a call where they said to press 1 and then I got transferred to some Asian guy with really hard to understand English, telling me my internet would be cut off in two days. Virgin told me pressing 1 doesn't cost anything since it's just a forwarded call. Definitely felt like a scam to me!Virgin7 years#H#WatchOutForScams#F##HThis call was from some dodgy robot pretending to be from my internet company. They said they’d been trying to get in touch with me recently, which was total nonsense. The voice claimed my internet would be cut off in the next day or two because somehow my IP address was being used overseas, and that I needed to get a new IP and modem. Nothing like that has happened at all. Then they told me to "press 1" to confirm everything - I just hung up there and then. ###Make sure to tell any older family or mates about these scams###7 yearsGot a recorded call today saying "we are your internet supplier and have been attempting to reach you. Without a reply, your service will be cut off within the next day or two." Yeah right, whatever you say. What muppets!Submit Your Own Report (017683 51998)
